The bottom dosent bend at the toes when walking (ball of foot stays straight when taking steps forward) so these are a tiny bit awkward to walk in since I must lift my knees to walk in these in a stomping motion, but they are SO comfortable, cute & fit true to size. I wear size 8 in sandals, 8.5 in sneakers and these size 8 fit perfectly. I am pleased with them & they feel bouncy to stand in, the soles are a rubbery type of firm foam that feel safe not to slip if walking on a wet marble floor. I feel like these will last forever, quality made, and the style is classic also. The straps are suede like inside (soft on the skin) but slick thick leather outside so they wont break or scuff. They are a smidge narrow & as I have medium-wide toe box (with a bunion) and they fit me perfectly fine but if you have genuinely wide or thick feet I would look closely at the toe strap. I am very happy with these =) I will wear them a ton Im sure
