UPDATED 9/25/2020: I reordered these in a 7, and they fit perfectly. My toes stop exactly where they should. If anything, there could be a tad more space a the back. My heel goes right to the edge, but it's not hanging over. The adjustable strap was able to stay at the default position, where the velcro pieces line up evenly. If the shoe stretches with wear, I have the ability to tighten it. It seems that when you go up in size, the amount of strap/space between foot bed and strap also increases. Read the original review for details.These sandals are very comfortable, well-cushioned, and supportive. The workmanship and quality of materials is excellent. They are attractive on the foot and the Steel color is a very nice neutral. Birkenstocks have become too hard for my feet, and these are a wonderful alternative.ORIGINAL REVIEW FOR SIZE 8: I typically wear a 7.5 and have a medium width, but low volume (thin from sole to top) foot. I ordered an 8 per recommendations to go up for half sizes. The length was a bit long, but not a deal breaker. The strap across the foot has Velcro which allows you to adjust it to fit your foot; however, when tightened to fit my foot, the strap was adjusted to the very end of the Velcro and did not look right. Additionally, I was concerned that if the leather stretched at all, I would be out of Velcro and unable to tighten it further. If your foot is wide, normal volume, or if you have a high instep, this could be a great choice.
